Changes to make
- Clarify renter/lender terminology before reservations resume.
- Review replacement fees against the catalogue actually relaunched.
- Adjust card charge and confirmation wording because reservations are temporarily paused.
Lender responsibility
The lender is responsible for keeping their items in good condition to ensure a good experience and safe use.
User responsibility
The renter is responsible for proper management of the rented equipment and must be able to understand the rental terms.
If the equipment is not returned on the agreed date, late fees may apply.
If equipment is returned damaged or excessively dirty, the renter is responsible for repair and additional cleaning fees.
Putting equipment in a washing machine or any other automatic cleaning device is prohibited.
In case of loss, theft, or irreparable damage, the renter agrees to reimburse the full replacement cost as determined by Location Voisins.
Payment of rental fees
The total rental fee is required at reservation and the charge is captured when the lender confirms. Otherwise, the payment capture does not occur and the renter is automatically refunded.
Issues
In case of delay, damage, loss, or dispute, users should document the situation and contact Location Voisins if mediation is needed.
Replacement fees
Outdoor: touring bike $600, city bike $400, golf equipment $150.
Racket sports: tennis, squash, pickleball, and badminton rackets $60 each.
DIY: circular saw, orbital sander, cordless drill-driver, and oscillating multitool $60 each.
Winter activities: ski equipment $300, cross-country skis $250, snowshoes $60, ice skates $50, sled $50.
Camping: family tent $300, ultralight tent $250, mosquito shelter $100, sleeping bag $50, camping stove $50, cot $50.
Games: cornhole game $100. Kitchen: raclette appliance $500, fondue appliance $500.
